More About Me

My name is Perrin Marion, and I am a senior at Syracuse University studying Public Relations with a minor in Marketing. While my resume outlines my experiences and skills, I also want to share who I am at my core. That is what motivates me, shapes me, and influences how I show up in a professional environment.

I’ve been a runner for as long as I can remember. In 2012, I completed my first sprint triathlon. In 2024, I ran my first half-marathon, and in 2025, I completed my first full marathon. Training for that race taught me perseverance, independence, and patience. I trained entirely on my own, with no pacing partner and no one holding me accountable. It was just me and the 26 miles ahead. Committing to that goal and following through showed me what it truly means to stay focused on long-term progress. These lessons influence how I work: I bring steady persistence to every project, stay self-motivated and organized, and remain committed whether working independently or collaborating with a team.

Outside of running, I’ve always loved baking. I’ve realized this is because baking is precise—every gram matters and determines the outcome. Unlike cooking, where you can improvise, baking requires intention, planning, and attention to detail. Those qualities reflect who I am. I’m someone who organizes my week in advance, relies on a planner to stay on track, and values clear communication. In group settings, I naturally take initiative, help structure tasks, and ensure thoughtful coordination among team members.

At the heart of it, both running and baking mirror how I approach my personal and professional life: with discipline, organization, meaning, and commitment.
